Speak life and faith into your birth.
Add your own devotional statements. Handwrite them.
Hang them up to prepare for birth.
Have them on index cards to read during labor.
Have your husband, family, and doula speak these truths in the birth room.

Here are over 60 faith-based assurances or affirmations to speak over your birth.

God is able.

God is faithful.

I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.

I can lean on the Lord.

Jesus walks with me through labor.

God is with me through this. He is here with me.

Jesus is in the room and by my side.

This birth is a good gift from above.

He will not leave me. He will not forsake me. I am not forgotten. God knows what we need.

You are with me; I will not fear.

I trust God to carry me through this birth.

The Lord is my helper.

I will not be anxious. I will pray.

The Lord hears my heart’s desire.

I trust you, Lord, with every contraction.

The Lord will fight for me; I need only to be still.

God does not fail. I am not afraid.

God is my rock, my strong tower, and my shelter from the storm. Christ is our firm foundation. I am standing on steady ground.

Jesus is my refuge. I can turn to Him.

The Holy Spirit is covering us right now.

You made me for this, Lord.

God is working all this together for my good.

God cares for me.

He leads me beside still waters. When my mind is storming, I can find still waters when I seek Him.

Christ gives us a peace that passes all understanding.

God’s peace guards my mind.

Great is His faithfulness. His compassions are new every morning.

I can be still. Jesus is God.

God is great. He is mighty. Wonderful are the works of His hands. He has formed this baby in my womb, and He will help me bring this life into the world.

When I am weak, God is strong.

God’s grace is sufficient for thee.

He giveth power when I am faint or weary, and He increases my strength.

Jesus will hold me up as I labor.

We have perfect peace in Christ – not a little peace or a sliver among fear – but perfect peace.

I am anchored in hope.

I am fearfully and wonderfully made. He has made me a woman able to bear children.

I will not fear. I am a courageous mother.

I will rejoice and I will pray and I will give thanks. God is with me through this.

I breathe in love, and cast out fear.

I am strong in the Lord.

I am victorious.

The Lord will lead me in triumph. He will lead me through this birth.

I will walk through this birth with faith, not fear.

I can rest assured that God is in control of my birth. The Lord is sovereign.

The Lord has me and my baby in his hands. Take comfort. He will carry me through this.

I am the King’s daughter. He will be with me when I pass through the waters and the rivers and everything that I walk through.

The pain that I’m feeling doesn’t compare to the joy that is coming.

The joy of the Lord is our strength. I have joy through the Holy Spirit and that gives me strength to do this.

God designed my body to give birth. He made me to be this child’s mother.

God has a plan and a purpose for my children’s lives.

All to the glory of God.

God has chosen the day to bring this child into the world in his perfect timing.

God is always on time. He knows the day and time of my baby’s birth.

Jesus is in control. Even when I feel like I’m losing control, he wraps me in his arms. I am his. He will not forsake me.

He will not leave me. I am his. He is with me always.

I am more than a conqueror through Christ.

Jesus gives strength to His people.

My Heavenly Father has given me the good gift of this child. He has knit this baby in my womb. He will help me in the journey to deliver this child into the world.

I surrender my birth into the Lord’s hands. He will carry us, and I can rest in trusting Him.

I will praise the Lord.

God renews my strength.

There is power in the tongue. I will speak faith, I will speak trust, and I will speak victory as I bring forth this new life.
