Christ is our firm foundation
My faith is at the foundation of everything I do. My books are written from a Christian perspective. My classes are faith-based. I teach about bringing our faith into the birth prep and the birth itself through scripture, faith-based affirmations, prayer, worship, and each individual building up their faith and trust in the Lord as couples prepare for birth. My doula services are also faith-based.
This is a business that honors God. We have biblical values regarding the family as God designed it. Marriage is sacred. Children are a blessing. Life begins at conception, each person created by His will and every baby knitted in their mother's womb by the hand of the Lord. All of my writing is in alignment with the bible. I will not bow down to any ideologies that go against the Word of God. This is a space for pregnant/birthing women, breastfeeding mothers, and sisters in Christ to receive education that aligns with their faith and also helps build their faith.
While not all of my blogs talk about religion, all of my writing is in alignment with following Jesus. If you're looking for faith-based childbirth education, you've come to the right place.

Hi! I'm Leanna Mae.
I'm thankful you visited my website. I'm Leanna Mae. I'm an Apostolic Pentecostal Christian who loves writing, teaching, and women's health. I'm an author! I've written and published several nonfiction paperback books. I live to write. I also love to blog. Teaching is a joy and it makes my heart happy to teach growing families classes to prepare for birth. My degree is in health sciences. Patient education is a big passion of mine. I'm also passionate about healthcare ethics and quality healthcare in all situations. While I like a few different areas of healthcare, women's health is my jam and my calling.
My goals are
My main goal with this section of my website is to provide education to women around the world. This is a global website with thousands of visitors from over 50 countries. I'd love to reach every nation with birth and breastfeeding education.
The goals are
The goals are
- Be a resource of faith-based education for the Christians seeking education and support that aligns with their faith and values.
- For others reading, may my website ultimately point them to Jesus. I have a lot of blogs about sharing my faith. Check out the website menu for more.
- Provide education that is accurate and helpful.
- Offer comprehensive education. I don't do basic or introductory. I'm a little nerdy and I like to teach on more of a college level.
- Improve experiences and outcomes in birth. I firmly believe that education and in-depth preparation makes a significant difference in making birth better.
- Improve breastfeeding success.
- Empower women by giving them access to knowledge, the tools to use it, and the guidance to develop their capabilities.
- Nurture families.
- Make maternity care better.
- Teach them how to better navigate the healthcare system and communication with their care providers in a way that carries with them throughout their healthcare across the lifespan.
How I teach
I write because God made me with that purpose and it is the reason I am here. Writing is my favorite way to teach. It's my native language. It reaches the world. I never tire of writing. I write books, handouts, and blogs.
I teach classes in-person.
In the future, I will teach classes online.
And I continue to learn from my students and from the opportunity to serve as a doula in the birth space. Please do share your wisdom in the comments and let me know what else I can add to my blogs that you've learned. Birth education is integrative. The more we teach each other, the more wisdom all of us women will carry.
I teach the wholeness of birth. It can go many ways and you shouldn't have to walk your birth journey unsupported. This resource isn't just for natural birth. It's also for women who want epidurals, women who bring their babies into the world surgically through c-section, all types of birth, hospital or birthing center or home, all plans and all experiences.
I'll tell you the same thing that I tell my doula clients. I try very hard not to share my personal preferences or say things like "Here's what I would do". You are the decision maker. I'm here to offer information. Do what's right for you. There are no agendas here to push a certain type of birth or level of "crunchy". All birth has beauty to it.
