Welcome to Maternal-infant Wellness Education with Leanna Mae
Hello, mommas, doulas, and other pros in women's health. If you are in the family way or making plans for when your baby will come, this is for you. And if you are also a doula like me, I hope my website helps you and/or your clients. This resource is all about offering education on reproductive health, fertility, family planning, conception, pregnancy, birth, postpartum, breastfeeding, infant care, and family wellness. I do that with a solid foundation of Christian faith and biblical values regarding the family as God designed it, each person created by His will and every baby knitted in their mother's womb by the hands of the Lord. If you're looking for faith-based childbirth education, you've come to the right place.

The fruit of the womb is a reward.

Hi! I'm Leanna Mae.
I'm thankful you visited my website. I'm Leanna Mae. I'm an Apostolic Pentecostal Christian who loves writing, teaching, and women's health. I'm an author! I've written and published several nonfiction paperback books. I live to write. I also love to blog. Teaching is a joy and it makes my heart happy to teach growing families classes to prepare for birth. Patient education is important to me. My degree is in health sciences. While my focus is on writing and teaching, I am also a birth doula, bereavement doula, and breastfeeding specialist just north of Dayton, Ohio, USA. If you're in the area, I'd love to teach you in-person. You can check out my classes here. If you're not local, I hope my website is a helpful resource to you. I'm passionate about women's health across the lifespan particularly the childbearing years. My writing will be focused on maternity care, birth preparation, and successful breastfeeding.
My goals are
My main goal with this section of my website is to provide education to women around the world. This is a global website with thousands of visitors from over 40 countries. I'd love to reach every nation with birth and breastfeeding education.
The goals are
I write blogs. I have hundreds more I plan to write.
I write PDF handouts that can be downloaded and printed. It's a goal to make more.
I'm writing a book series on fertility & pregnancy, birth & postpartum, breastfeeding, and infant care. Getting this series finished and published is one of my biggest goals as a writer.
I also like to make informative images. It's a small goal to do more of that.
I plan to put classes online in the future. That's a big, long-term goal. I have several classes I want to get on my website including a comprehensive 12-week class.
The goals are
- Provide education that is accurate, comprehensive, and helpful.
- Improve experiences and outcomes in birth.
- Improve breastfeeding success.
- Empower women by giving them access to knowledge and the tools to use it.
- Nurture families.
- Make maternity care better.

How I teach
I write because God made me with that purpose and it is the reason I am here. Writing is my favorite way to teach. It's my native language. It reaches the world. I never tire of writing. I write books, handouts, blogs, and social media posts.
I teach classes in-person.
I also journey with my doula clients and teach them over the months we walk together.
And I continue to learn from my students and from the opportunity to serve as a doula in the birth space. Please do share your wisdom in the comments and let me know what else I can add to my blogs that you've learned. Birth education is integrative. The more we teach each other, the more wisdom all of us women will carry.
I teach the wholeness of birth. It can go many ways and you shouldn't have to walk your birth journey unsupported. This resource isn't just for natural birth. It's also for women who want epidurals, women who bring their babies into the world surgically through c-section, all types of birth, hospital or birthing center or home, all plans and all experiences.

Here for you
Babies are a beautiful blessing, truly a gift from the Lord. Growing your family is a busy season with much to prepare for: prenatal care, birth, breastfeeding, infant care, family life, readjusting the balance in the home as you add your new little one. This resource is here for you to help you prepare and manage.
Faith, blessings, and fellowship
Jesus called me to this path of birth work and I bring my faith into my practice. I do that with a solid foundation of Christian faith and biblical values regarding the family as God designed it, each person created by His will and every baby knitted in their mother's womb by the hands of the Lord.
Family is his design. We were created for family, fellowship, and connection with our communities. I am blessed to be able to connect with families and guide them on their journey. While I will never be able to meet all my readers (or online students if you will), I hope you can find a sense of fellowship as you explore and use this website.
If you're looking for faith-based childbirth education, you've come to the right place.
