In today’s digital world, it can be confusing to know where to find coupons. Gone are the days that they were mainly only in the Sunday paper and we’d flip through the inserts searching for our favorite products or the best deals. Let’s talk about over 20 different places you can find coupons.

  • Newspaper
You can still find coupons in the Sunday paper.

  • Local papers/publications
Check those freebie magazines and such at your grocery stores.

  • Mail
Coupon inserts come in the mail for grocery stores and restaurants.

  • Pizza boxes/delivery bags
Don’t throw away the pizza box without looking for coupons.

  • Food apps for restaurants you like
If you download the apps for the places you like to eat, there are coupons and deals in there and sometimes even freebies.

  • Grocery store apps/websites
This is where it’s at nowadays! The coupon makers have partnered directly with the grocery stores to offer coupons in app or on the website. Sign up with a rewards account (free) to have access to coupons.

  • Grocery ads
Read the sale ads carefully. Some of those large print prices require a coupon. If you’re using the app, it may tell you there’s a coupon available for that product and you can click on it.

  • Peelies
Check your products for coupons stickered onto the product itself. For example, the laundry detergent I buy often has a $2 off coupon directly on it. I’ll peel it off and use it for that purchase or you can wait until the next purchase.

  • Blinkies
Some stores still have blinking boxes with coupons you can pull in the aisle.

  • Tear pads
Likewise, grocery stores may have tear pad coupons available.

  • Emails from the business
Sign up for emails from your most-shopped stores. That’s not just for groceries. Retail stores also send coupons in emails.

  • Ordering inserts
If you’re looking to stockpile groceries, ordering inserts is the way to get enough coupons.

  • By mail request
You can write to the companies of the products you like the most and request coupons.

  • Manufacturer website
The manufacturer website may have coupons.

  • Coupon apps
There are a few apps that have coupons on them or explain how to combine coupons with sales and where to get the deals this week.

  • Websites for printables
There aren’t very many coupon websites left especially now that SmartSource and RedPlum went out of business. You may still find a few coupons out there you can print.

  • Receipts
Check your receipts for coupons. A lot of fast food places offer a coupon. Some retail stores do too. Grocery stores may have coupons with the receipt.

  • On the Amazon product page
When you shop on Amazon, always look for a coupon box to check. It will not be added automatically.

  • Browser extensions
There are browser extensions for couponing that will show you the best retail coupons available. For example, I use Capital One shopping as a browser extension to automatically get discounts.

  • Coupon books
You can purchase coupon books for retail stores individually or for local areas.

  • School district discount cards
Some schools offer coupon cards for purchase. For example, my local school district sells cards for $10 that offer discounts on lots of local businesses that can be used as many times as you want.

  • Good Rx
For pharmaceuticals, GoodRx is a great app to get discounts on meds.
