Flashfood is an app available in some areas that lets you buy food close to expiration at a discounted price directly from grocery stores. Even with chain stores, each individual store offers different deals.
 

• Flipp

Flipp is an app that shows you the weekly ads for a variety of grocery stores and retail stores. You can favorite the stores of your choice, and get a newsfeed of all your favorites in one place.
 

• Grocery store apps

If the stores you do your grocery shopping at have an app, you should get it. If they offer rewards cards, you should sign up for it. You can get digital coupons through the app or website (with an account). Some stores allow you to earn points towards fuel. Choose your store and see the ad for that week. Some apps allow you to favorite items. View your order history and reselect items easily. You should make an account with your grocery stores.
 

• Coupon apps

Apps that tell you where the coupon deals are may help you save on groceries. Krazy Koupon Lady is a good one to follow. On a side note, Facebook groups for couponing have excellent help on exactly how to get the deals.
 

• Rebates apps
