I love to write, and I love to teach. Coaching authors is a natural combination of those two passions. How can I help you grow as an author?

Why I coach authors
I was 24 years old when I published my first book with CreateSpace in 2012. On my 10-year anniversary, I published for the 12th time. I started with CreateSpace in 2012, merged with the company to KDP in 2018, and have learned a lot over the years.
I remember with my first feeling like I was climbing a mountain with a blindfold on. I didn’t know any other authors. I didn’t know there were book coaches. I didn’t know of any books on how to do this (and back then I bought almost all of my books in local stores). I had no idea what I was doing. I only knew that I was determined and I refused to give up. Somehow, I made it through the process. My second book came out only 4 months later, and that was actually more overwhelming because I knew how hard it was. For a while, I said I didn’t want to do this again. It was a few years before I published my third book. After that, I started to feel more confident. That’s also when I started advising other authors on how to indie publish. Once I released my fourth book, I finally felt like I knew my way around. It’s never easy, but it does get easier every time.
Alas, there are many who won’t take the next step if they can’t see the whole staircase. Most people who want to write a book never start the first page. The overwhelming majority of people who get started never finish. Oftentimes, they don’t know how to write a book or really finish it. A surprising amount of those who finish never publish because they don’t know how to climb the mountain. The theme: people need guidance.
You don’t have to walk this journey alone. Find experienced authors who have walked this path repeatedly and know it well enough to show you the way.

Why nonfiction?
I love nonfiction books. They have a transformation power to them. They educate. They empower. They grow you and develop your abilities. Nonfiction writing is the kind that changes lives. All of my own books are nonfiction, and my book coaching services specialize in nonfiction.
What kind of books do I take and not take?
I only take nonfiction. I only coach on wholesome content. I do run a Christian business. I will not assist in the writing or publishing of books that encourage discrimination, hatred, violence, or abuse. Nor will I partake in the creation of any books that are occult, encouraging or glorifying sin, or goes against my religious beliefs.
What kind of sessions and services are available?
Initial navigation coaching session
This is where I get to know you and where you want to go. What are your goals? Your big dreams? What’s your vision? Why are you writing and what do you want to accomplish with this book? Let’s talk about your options, form your goals, and answer any initial questions.
Investment: $450 – this session lasts up to 3 hours
Select topic training sessions
Choose your topic that you need guidance on and I’ll help you navigate it. These custom sessions are for what the client wants to focus on, helping them work through it, giving feedback and guidance, etc.
Investment: $300 – these sessions last up to 2 hours
Assisting with the publishing day
I know how overwhelming it is to learn how to indie publish. The first time especially can be very overwhelming. I’ve done this 12 times with my own books as well as helping clients. I will sit with you and walk you through the process.
Investment: $750
Sessions can be in-person in the Beavercreek, Ohio area or done virtually.
I also offer manuscript review for content guidance at $3 a page and formatting the interior for a print book (using Word and creating a PDF) at $2 a page.
Website coaching and design may be available if requested.
I do not offer editing/proofreading, transcription, ghost writing, writing any portion of your book for you, or cover design.
While I coach on marketing options, I do not offer guarantees or estimates on sales expectations.

What kind of client I'm looking for
I’m looking for ambitious writers who are serious about writing their book and sharing it with the world. I want writers who will meet their goals and are determined to cross the finish line. Don’t contact me if you’re on the fence or wishy-washy about it. I do ambition. I do goals. I do accomplishments. I do growth. If that’s what you’re looking for in someone to guide you, I’d love to hear what your book is about.
What the client can expect
This is client led. I don’t do packages anymore and I won’t hound you about finishing. There are no contracts or obligations. Schedule sessions as needed. Be ambitious enough to be self-driven. If you only need the initial navigation session, that’s fine. If you need a dozen select topic sessions, that’s fine. Questions are only answered in sessions. I encourage you to read the workbook first. Reach out for what you need. Come prepared for sessions; make the most out of them. Please do let me know when you publish. I love to see clients succeed at their goals.
Sessions are pre-paid. Prices are non-negotiable. Invoices are sent through Paypal. There are no refunds after a session. You can cancel at any time prior to the session, and refunds will be given if there was at least 24-hour notice of cancellation.
